Research Focus

The LTFD is placed at the institute of thermodynamics, together with the LTT and the VKA.
The main focus is the development and application of laser-optical measurement techniques for technical flow and combustion processes. Using elementary interactions between light and matter it is possible to investigate and optimize complex reactive and non-reactive flows appearing e.g. in engines, turbines and burners.
