Matthias Dorgeist studied Political Science and Sociology at RWTH Aachen University. After graduating, he initially worked at the Institute of Sociology at RWTH Aachen University. Since July 2023, Mr. Dorgeist has been employed as an assistant at the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

His main focus in the area of teaching is to act as a consultant for the examination board "Mechanical Engineering".
