German University of Technology (GUtech) - Oman

 

In 2007, the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) was established in Muscat with the support of RWTH Aachen University. This technical university in Oman was founded on the private initiative of Sheikh Abdullah al-Salmi and Sheikh Saud Bin Ali al Khalili.

 

In cooperation with the Omani founders, RWTH Aachen University coordinates the establishment of this university based on its academic guidelines. The focus here is on the synergy of teaching, research and the regional economy, as has been successfully established at RWTH Aachen University.
