How your DFH / T.I.M.E. studies work

DFH/TIME Grafik

As a student of one of the participating Grandes Écoles, you will first spend the first two years of your studies at your home university.

There you will complete your "classes préparatoires" as well as two years of your interdisciplinary engineering degree course. After four successfully completed years, we will then welcome you to Aachen, where you will begin your studies in a Master's degree course. At the same time, you will enrol as a student at the German French University/ Université franco-allemande.

The duration of your stay with us is 2 years. Within this time frame, you will complete the study and examination achievements according to the Master's programe as well as additional modules from our Bachelor's programe in Mechanical Engineering. These modules are assigned to you individually when you apply and guarantee that you meet the requirements for the Master's degree course. The maximum number of modules is 20-30 credit points (ECTS) and depends on the choice of your Master's degree course.
