Making an appointment
How do I make an appointment with a mentor?
You are welcome to make appointments through our appointment tool. After booking a time slot, you will receive a confirmation email. If your request for an interview is for the first time, please return the reflection sheet and the mentoring consent form to your mentor.
Please note:
The mentor will not be able to individually prepare your meeting or your request without the reflexion form. Therefore, we would be glad to receive your returned document. If you would like to make a consecutive appointment you do not have to fill out the reflexion form again – unless you would like to talk a about a new topic.
In which formats does the mentoring take place?
Mentoring appointments can be scheduled as face-to-face, online, and telephone appointments. Please let us know your preferred counseling format when booking an appointment via e-mail (please write to the counselor at his/her individual e-mail address or send an e-mail to our inbox mentoring@fb4.rwth-aachen.de). We will then contact you for further arrangements. Please note that not all consulting formats can be offered on all days. Face-to-face appointments take place at the Sammelbau Maschinenwesen, Eilfschornsteinstr. 18, 52062 Aachen. We will pick you up for your appointment in the foyer of the first floor.
I urgently need to talk – are there appointments on short notice?
In urgent cases, you can contact a mentor through her or his email address and make a special appointment. Please note that these individual appointments are exclusively for special cases.
I made an appointment – what happens to my data?
Only the mentor you contacted receives a confirmation that you booked an appointment with her/him. As the mentoring meetings themselves, these appointments are naturally treated confidentially.
Please note:
If against expectations you cannot keep an appointment, please delete your entry in the appointment tool resp. contact your mentor at the earliest possible time. This way, your time slot can be offered to your fellow students.
