Application for Admission to the Doctoral Examination
Have you successfully completed all of the doctoral phases thus far, written your dissertation, and are ready for your doctoral examination? Then you need to submit an application for admission to the doctoral examination in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Office for Doctoral Studies. Please note the requirements for the title page based on the current information sheet.
Please note that the application must be received in original by the Faculty's Office for Doctoral Studies no later than three weeks before the respective faculty council or council of elders meeting. The receipt stamp is considered the date of submission. You can find the dates of their meetings here.
While you are applying for admission to the doctoral examination, your supervisor submits a letter to the dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, containing the following information:
- Readers, chair, and committee members
- Title of the dissertation
- Doctoral studies to culminate with Dr.-Ing. or Dr. rer. nat.
This information must be received by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Office for Doctoral Studies two weeks before the respective faculty council or council of elders meeting.
